Obtaining your Inburgering Diploma is a crucial step toward fully integrating into Dutch society. This diploma certifies that you have an adequate level of Dutch and that you’re familiar with the culture and life in the Netherlands. Additionally, it is a main requirement for those who wish to obtain Dutch nationality.
Here is a practical guide and free official materials to help you prepare:
1. What the A2 and B1 Levels Mean
A2 Level: This means you can communicate in basic everyday situations. You’ll be able to understand and use common phrases and expressions, introduce yourself, and ask simple questions about personal topics and your surroundings.
B1 Level: This indicates that you can handle most situations that may arise while traveling or living in a Dutch-speaking area. You’ll be able to write simple and coherent texts on familiar or personal-interest topics and express your opinions in a basic way.
